SDUT’s Vice President Attends China Education Information Innovation and Development Forum


SDUT’s Vice President Zou Guangde attended the 16th China EducationInformation InnovationandDevelopment Forum recently, organized by the Ministry of Education Management Information Center. Prof. Zou delivered a speech on Role-shifting from A Passive to An Active Approach in the Information-based Teaching Reform of Shandong University of Technology, introducing the specific methods the progress in the implementation of the reform. His speech won the universal praise from the experts and teachers at presence.

Since 2012, SDUT has been carrying out the reform on information innovation as a pilot university picked up by the Ministry of Education. Aimed at the deep integration of information technology and teaching, SDUT focused on the reforming teaching objectives, teaching contents and the evaluation systems of and teaching. One the all-round levels of universities, schools, teachers and students. More than 260 courses have been taught with the integrated and blended approach, featuring “learning in and out of class, on and off line, on and off campus, and at desktop and mobile ends. With the online teaching resources more and more enriched and the online learning space more and more popular, students’ individualized learning has been put into practice. According to the statistics, students who have taken the reformed curriculum have their academic performance, interests in learning and satisfaction intensity improved.
