(SDUT Online News) A meeting was held in the lecture hall on the 1st floor of Hongyuan Building on the afternoon of March 24th, decomposing and deploying the major tasks in 2020, and putting forward requirements for the tasks. ZHANG Tiezhu, deputy secretary of the Party committee and president of SDUT, LIU Guohua, ZHANG Xiangyun, WANG Libin, WEI Xiuting and YI Weiming, members of the standing committee of the Party committee and vice presidents of SDUT attended the meeting, and heads of the administration offices, direct units, mass organizations and Economic Management Departments participated in the meeting.
Head of the Party Committee (President) Office explained the drafting process, the basis and the decomposition for tasks approval of the key tasks of SDUT in 2020, and put forward suggestions for promoting the specific measures and supervising the implementation of the main tasks.
ZHANG Tiezhu made a speech that 2020 was the end year of the 13th Five-Year Plan and the year when the blueprint of the 14th Five-Year Plan is drawn up. The time was limited whereas the tasks were strenuous. To complete of this year’s goals and tasks in high quality, we should take responsibility bravely and do our utmost; we should rely on ourselves and study hardcore measures without any delay to coordinate the prevention and control of COVID-19 with the reform and development of SDUT. The relationship between them should be based on the principle that tasks should not be reduced, goals should not be changed, standards should not be lowered, work models should be innovated, and work results should be improved, so that the prevention and control of COVID-19 and the resumption of work and production could be effectively implemented.
Focusing on the tasks in 2020, ZHANG Tiezhu required that, firstly we should focus on the key goals and not deviate. For the key issues in the reform and development, we should aim at them accurately, keep them in place and not deviate from them. We should take the initiative to target all the development goals determined by the One Spirit and One Plan of SDUT and sort them up in a systematic and comprehensive way. It was necessary to coordinate the relationship between the key points of SDUT and the work of administration offices to ensure the steady progress of routine work and strive to make breakthroughs in key works. We should pay close attention to the development height and progress of the relevant work of the benchmarking colleges and universities, and pay more attention to learn from those better than us.
Secondly, we should enhance coordination of work. On the one hand, all administration offices and units should take their own responsibilities and fulfill their duties wholeheartedly; on the other hand, they should take the initiative and cooperate actively without any prevarication or quibble, and strive to form a strong joint force to do a good job.
Thirdly, we should strengthen the constraint of assessment. The relevant administration offices should further improve the design of key indicators in accordance with the new classification assessment system of Education Department of Shandong in 2019 and make full use of the assessment results to truly reflect the authority and constraint of the assessment, so as to stimulate the advanced and spur the backward.
ZHANG Tiezhu emphasized that efforts should be made to solve the problems in the reform of take academic schools as entities; the starting point and basic principles of year-end performance distribution should be clarified and distributed according to the proportion of contributions; the role of new talents should be given full play to stimulate the potential and motivation of each talent; the prevention and control of COVID-19 and the development of school reform should be promoted as a whole, and all preparations for the start of the spring semester should be comprehensively made in detail.
LIU Guohua presided over the meeting. Focusing on the implementation of the spirit of this conference and of the annual tasks, she stressed that, first, we should strengthen research and refine implementation measures; second, we should enhance overall planning to form a joint force; third, we should reinforce supervision and improve implementation. She requested that the whole university should successfully complete all tasks in 2020 and the target tasks set in the 13th Five-Year Plan, and make new and greater contributions to the early establishment of a distinctive, high-level and well-known teaching and research university in China under the leadership of the Party committee and the administration of SDUT with new status, new responsibilities, new skills and new achievements.
