On the afternoon of December 11th, the women's football team of Qingdao Huanghai-SDUT won the second place in the finals of the 2020 National College Women’s Football League and China Women’s Football League of Chinese Football Association (CFA) at Jiangning football training base, Jiangsu Province, and was qualified to participate in the China Women’s Super League of CFA in 2021.
On December 11th, LYU Chuanyi,secretary of the Party committee,and HU Xingyu,vice secretary of the Party committee and president of SDUT, wrote congratulation letters to the athletes and coaches after knowing the good news. In the congratulatory letter, they said, “We are glad to hear that you have won the second place in the China Women’s League of CFA in 2020 and successfully rushed to the China Women’s Super League, and created the best result in history in the national competition of women’s football team among Shandong Province, showing the positive outlook of the “Five-Haves” students of SDUT, as well as the elegant demeanor of the coaches. On behalf of more than 40000 teachers, students and staff, we would like to extend our warm congratulations to you, as you has won for both SDUT and Shandong province on the field. 16 teams participated in this competition. On November 30th, the league officially opened. After SDUT won the top eight in group C, women’s football team of beat Inner Mongolia University team with 1-0 in the knockout and Tianjin Shengde women’s football team with 3-2 in the semi-final, and finally entered the final. SDUT had successfully entered the finals of China Women’s Football League of CFA and promoted to China Women’s Super League of CFA, creating the best results of SDUT’s ball collective events.
Qingdao Huanghai-SDUT Women’s Football Team was founded in 2019. Through friendly negotiation, Qingdao Huanghai Football Club and SDUT reached a cooperation intention and jointly formed it. This participation in China Women’s Football League was also the first professional league for the team. The team had 30 players, all of whom were college students from School of Physical Education of SDUT.
