On the evening of May 13th, the opening ceremony of SDUT Scientific Culture and Arts Festival (2021) and speech contest on Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China were held in the University Art Center Auditorium.
LYU Chuanyi, Secretary of SDUT’s Party Committee, HU Xingyu, Deputy Secretary and President of SDUT, DENG Changliang, Deputy Secretary of SDUT’s Party Committee, ZHA Yuxi, YI Weiming and SU Shoubo, Members of the Standing Committee and Vice Presidents of SDUT, attended the opening ceremony and watched the speech contest together with heads of various departments and colleges, teachers and students.
The leaders of SDUT who attended the activity jointly pushed the starting lever and the scroll of “presenting a new chapter of Jixia for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China” unfolded slowly, representing the official opening of SDUT Scientific Culture and Arts Festival (2021) .
DENG Changliang made an opening speech.He hoped that teachers and students of SDUT would ctively participate in these various activities to show their graceful bearing and achieve all-round development on the stage of Scientific Culture and Arts Festival. It was hoped that all colleges and units should carefully plan activities, highlight the theme, focus on the “Five-Have” talents training objective of SDUT, keep innovation, keep improvement and strive to improve the participation, education, effectiveness and brand influence of activities. All colleges and units should strive to make SDUT Scientific Culture and Arts Festival (2021) a grand event that can fully display the achievements of in scientific and cultural construction and good mental outlook of teachers and students and make it a grand event to express deep love for the Communist Party of China, gather patriotic strength, highlight SDUT's characteristics and focus on innovative development.
After the opening ceremony, “Youth Heart to the Party and Striving to Be Five-Have Talents” speech contest on Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China officially began. 12 contestants told the glorious history of the Communist Party of China in passionate words and expressed their high respect for the party with sincere feelings. “The great land of China nurtures abundant talents, boosts a bright future and shines glowing light”, “The clear love, only for China” and “What we are, what China is. Cheering for ourselves is cheering for China”. The speeches of contestants were either low or magnificent, which won bursts of applause of judges and audience. The participants also enjoyed the song and dance Remain True to Our Original Aspiration, Start Again and the song Juvenile, etc.
The theme of SDUT Scientific Culture and Arts Festival (2021) was “presenting a new chapter of Jixia for the 100th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of China”. It was divided into three chapters: Glorious Centenary, Time and Space of Science and Technology and Jixia Culture. It carried out a total of 13 campus exquisite events covering a wide range of fields such as science, technology, culture and art, including Celebrating the 100th Anniversary of the Founding of the Communist Party of China series activities, series competitions of college students' creativity, innovation and entrepreneurship, campus top ten singer competition and “My Prime Time and My Youth League”, a themed event for branches of the Youth League. The activity would lead teachers and students of SDUT to compose a magnificent song of struggle in the struggle of loving for the party, the country and socialism and in the new journey of high-quality development of SDUT.
