Recently, Lin Yanning, a faculty member of the School of Mathematics and Statistics, published a monograph entitled “Essays on Pareto Optimality in Cooperative Games” in Springer, a famous international press. This was the first time that a teacher from the School of Mathematics and Statistics published an academic monograph in Springer.
Founded in 1842 in Berlin, Germany, Springer Press is one of the world’s largest publishers of books and academic journals in the field of natural science, engineering technology and medicine (STM). It is famous for its rigorous academic attitude and strict publishing standards. This time, the publication of the English monograph “Essays on Pareto Optimality in Cooperative Games” written by Lin Yaning in Springer is full recognition of her outstanding academic research strength.
This monograph has been written since 2019, and it took three years to complete four revisions and finally be published, which shows that SDUT has reached a new level in the field of system optimization and control.
To promote the evaluation of scientific and technological achievements, SDUT issued the “Identification and Evaluation Method of Natural Science Research Achievements, Projects and Awards” on June 2022, in accordance with the requirements of “Four Faces” of scientific and technological innovation as well as the national and provincial guidance on improving the evaluation of scientific and technological achievements. SDUT firmly adheres to the evaluation orientation with quality, performance and contribution of scientific and technological innovation as the core, and encourages scientific and technological personnel to produce more high-quality achievements. The academic monograph published in Springer and its scientific and technological achievements has achieved original scientific value in terms of discoveries, principles and methods, which are A1-level academic work achievements of SDUT.
