On November 24th, Hu Xingyu, a member of the publicity group of Shandong provincial colleges and universities, the secretary of SDUT, and the head of SDUT’s publicity group of faculty and students of the 20th CPC National Congress, delivered a report on the 20th CPC National Congress for faculty and students and gave the “first lecture of the secretary” at Art Center Auditorium.
A main venue and a sub-court was set for the report, and was connected by online video. Li Yuxia, president of SDUT, members of the Party Committee such as Deng Changliang, Yang Yun, Su Shoubo, Guo Qingbing, Chen Shengwei, Cui Huanyong, Chen Jing, Ma Guosheng, Liu Xingqing, Lyu Yanping, heads of relevant functional departments, secretaries of Party organizations and Party branches of secondary units, and members of the publicity group of faculty and students of the 20th CPC National Congress were in the main venue, and other faculty members listened to the report in the branch venue. The report meeting was chaired by Yang Yun, deputy secretary of SDUT.
Hu Xingyu gave a lecture on the topic of “Comprehensively Create a New Situation of Building a High-Level Teaching and Research University with Distinctive Characteristics under the Guidance of Spirit of 20th CPC National Congress”. He shared learning experiences with teachers and students from nine aspects, including “Themes of 20th CPC National Congress”, “Work in Past 5 Years and Great Changes in New Era in 10 Years”, “Modernization of Marxism in China” and “Modernization of Chinese Style”.
In accordance with the requirements of “Seven Clarifications”, Hu Xingyu made a comprehensive speech and in-depth interpretation of the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress. He stressed that all staff memebers and students of SDUT should fully, accurately and comprehensively understand the spirit of the 20th National Congress of CPC, further perceive the decisive significance of the “two establishments”, constantly strengthen the “four consciousness”, firm the “four self-confidence”, and achieve “two maintenance”, and always maintain a high degree of consistency with the Party Central Committee with Comrade Xi Jinping at the core in ideology, politics and action.
Hu Xingyu proposed that the 20th CPC National Congress report on education, science and technology, and talents was integrated and written into respective chapters, which were placed in a prominent position, having great strategic significance and far-reaching influence. He stressed that the key to studying and implementing the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress lay in implementation. We should adhere to the study and publicity to implement the spirit of the 20th CPC National Congress as the primary political task, and strive to have a thorough understanding of what we have learned and integrate knowledge and practice.
